The insane guys at RGI called and told me that they were flying William Hooker out to do a show at Moe's and they wanted it recorded for a CD release. I wondered how a solo drum performance could hold one's attention for 45 minutes but soon after William started playing I found my self taken in by his percussion expressions. I recorded this with a stereo pair on TOA K-4's through a tube pre-amp as one source and also four tracked it with two PZM's on the back wall and a stereo feed from the board. The board feed was really nice and became this disc.
