I TOLD you not to fly Alaskan Airlines...

Cut of the Month is by Elizabeth Falconer. Liz approached me with a concept
of recording her adaptations of traditional Japanese children's stories
with koto accompaniment. The story you may now hear on the web site
It is called "Kumo the Spider", one of my favorites
in the compilation. Take a moment to get an advanced listen to this highly
original artist and her rendition of an excellent children's story.

These sessions with Liz has appeased (temporarily) a burning desire I've
had to produce children's stories for quite some time now - 365 of them, in
fact, one story for each day of the year. Know of a label which may be
interested in this project, let me know.

OTHER

I inherited a fine, custom desk for my rack gear and mixing board from the
good souls at Clatter and Din. It took two days to rewire the studio, but
it looks mighty fine! Pictures forthcoming...

I finally broke down and bought a victrola! Now I can play all those 78s
I've been collecting throughout the years. It's a VV-VIa, and it's purty!
Not sure of the age at this point. See a picture!!

And last but not least, I did a massive amount of dialog editing for Big
Twenty Productions for the audio portion of a CD-ROM titled, "Chip and
Friends", the CD-ROM version of the emmy-nominated video by the same name.
The game attempts to teach children computer etiquette through games and
puzzles, and it's pretty good if I do say so myself. I'm not sure of the
release date right now, but you know I'll keep you posted.

I will leave you with a quote from Chip and Friends. The pirate says, "your
files and programs are as valuable as gold doubloons. Don't let prirates
steal them. Har Har!"

Badoomp!
