The Cut of the Month is GOAT GIRL with her song "Mother is Far".
Jeppa Hall plays parlor guitar and has these catchy songs that are
reminiscent of the 1800's. Very unique vocal style that is endearing
and fascinating poetry sets this artist apart.

The year started off with a bang with REPTET coming in and knocking
out a double album's worth of great jazz. This six piece trys it
straight, off kilter, cuban, noir, new orleans, be bop and Lyman
style. Hope to have a cut of the month soon.

WATER KILL THE SUN is reformed, re-organized and started recording
(what I think is) their best effort to date. This time out creating a
very nice collection of down tempo, shoe gazer indie pop. I'm really
excited by this material and can't wait for it to be unleased upon the world.

Work finished up on the sound design and mix for local feature film
WALKING to WERNER. This film has already shown a few times in a
couple different cities. It won't be long now before it will
premiere. The film shows all the innkeepers, travelers, weirdos and
born again Christians that life on the road brings out. A fascinating
journey and a truly inspiring film of courage and strength shot
entirely on location along the 101 which follows the beautiful west
coast of Washington, Oregon and California. More info at

Quick session with bass and drum duo GUITAR DEFORMATION LEAGUE. Their
brand of grunge rock reminded me of Chrome sometimes.

ARKADE started their new record with a collection of loud and heavy
songs that call to mind Mudhoney, Sonic Youth and Pink Floyd. These
songs are bookended by introspective singer songwriter pieces with
minimal arrangements.

TRANSMISSIONARY SIX stopped by to record 4 songs for their next full
length. Their brand of dreamy, mellow soft-core just lifts you
towards the sky and gently places you back on earth after each number.
