Cut of the Month is BLACK NITE CRASH! I spoke about them before. This cut
reminds me of Velvet Underground. Listen and repeat in different colors!
ELIZABETH FALCONER and BRIAN FALCONER were in to record "Chocolate Suite"
which is a koto duet between Liz and her son (age 12). It's a fascinating
journey through chocolaty goodness koto-style. If Gene Wilder were
Japanese, then Willie Wonka would be a chocolate suite. This CD is
available NOW from kotoworld.com.
ALTAMONT were in at Soundhouse to do a quick (punk rock style) 12 song
"demo". This session kicked my ass. These are kids (no older than 20) that
sound like the Stooges meets Buzzcocks meets Agent Orange. Such talent.
You'll hear a cut soon.
KEXP gave me the opportunity to mix Slaid Cleves and Say Hi to Your Mom.
These can be heard on kexp.org
FEAR OF DOLLS are back in the studio continuing dubs on their next effort.
Their brand of Swans meet Lemon Kittens is sure to please your darkest soul.
LAND OF THE LOOPS stopped by (via Boston) to record some vocal tracks for
their upcoming release.
and there you have it.
