Cut of the Month is the SEA DONKEYS - Singapore. This cut was
recorded during a session with the Donkeys, but didn't make the
record. Of the material I recorded, this was my favorite cut. The
Donkeys brew a weird mixture of sea shantys and chaos which makes you
walk the plank extra fast.

ARKADE was in this month to record their 4th record. This time out
the group is concentrating on a huge dynamic range with very light
lilting verses akin to Pink Floyd with massive pounding chorus a la
Sonic Youth. It's a nice blend yet they still maintain their murky
"eye of the tornado" sound.

TRANSMISSIONARY 6 stopped by to record a half an album including a
cover of Bye Bye Blackbird that will make your eyes water. Luckily
the new Coles ribbon mic lent itself to some nice warm vocals this time out.

KEVIN JOYCE stopped by to have me sound design a short video called
Loud Yoga. This was hilarious! we did it up with kooky music and
cartoonish sound effects. If all goes well you should be able to
receive this on your cell phone in due time.

LAURIE CARLSSON started her 2nd record with me. This time out she
maintains the Natalie Merchant sound but we recorded this puppy live
and it just swings big time. More pop from her later.

WATER KILL THE SUN did a few more overdubs and mixing on their soon
to be classic follow up to Plus. This downtempo sound they have now
is amazing. Simple their best material to date.

REPTET finished their record of cool jazz with a Marx Brothers suite
and some hot fire jazz sprinkled throughout. Hope to have you hear
this sooner rather than later.
