Happy Cinco De Mayo! We're hoping not to see any riots here in Seattle
during this year's celebration, but if there _is_ one it won't be due to
troubled teens with no sub-culture identity. No, it will be because the
ARKADE record hit the streets and all hell broke loose! CUT OF THE MONTH
is the first song from that album. Witness the Mazzy Star-like music and
nod your head.

The studio was scarey quiet this past month because we were finishing our
expansion project. Yes - we're doubled in size and painted all purdy, and
are planning the SECOND ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE on May 18th, 2001. Want to come?

During the last Open House we played the Flaming Lips - Zaireeka in 8
channel surround - and it was a great hit. This year we will play the
IMMERSION audio DVD, which features a surround sound mix of Ellen Fullman's
Long String Instrument (mixed by yours truly). We will also be projecting
the RESIDENTS DVD ICKY FLIX, which contains their entire film and video
catalog with a newly composed 5.1 surround soundtrack. I will make a
separate post the week of the event, but mark your calendars now!

BARRY LIEBERMAN dropped by to have me "master" a double CD of a performance
by famed double bassist OVIDIU BADILA, who died recently. This recording
features Double Bass and Piano composition by many composers.

DEBORAH BARTLEY was in to start the tracking of her next record, which will
feature a full band this time. The initial tracking date successful, and
it was fun, too, as we got to try out the new window system that connects
the small room to the iso booth to the new main room. It worked!

SUN CITY GIRLS were in to do a few overdubs and mix their next record. The
madnss continues!
