Cut of the Month is a blast from the past. The grueling, bludgeoning terror
OF ELECTRIC DEATH. Supreme black metal band from Seattle. It was a chore to
capture this group the way they wanted to be captured. And if you've ever
seen Discovery channel, you will know that wild animals don't like cages!

KEXP offered me many great live broadcasts with the following groups-

Arab Strap
Herman Jolly
Hint Hint
Sushi Robo
the Cripples
Trick Deck
and the Polyphonic Spree - which completely took over the radio station and
used every mic and cable we had. I think I almost cried during the second
song (it was so beautiful). If you don't know this group, they are a 23
member symphonic pop combo from Dallas, TX

Most of these broadcasts can be heard live on kexp.org and once they are
done are usually archived on the stations website. just more great music
for you to hear. At least check out the polyphonic spree and see a picture
of the piano and bass in the control room with me.

Mixing continues on the XXX AUDIO record. it will be done soon. I promise.

Dhrup Chand stopped by to master his recording of Fiji traditional music.

Dave Ackerman brought a classic improv performance of Yva Las Vegas for
some editing. What a wild show. Don't know if this will ever see the light
of day.

Anomalous Records had me do a quick edit and mastering job on the Current
93 cd's that were available at their recent shows in SF.

and last but not least, you may read my Cerberus Shoal recording diary on
at http://tapeop.com/magazine/bonus/cerebusshoal.html

My review of M-Audio's TAMPA mic pre and interview with Italian film
composer Daniele Luppi will appear in the upcoming issue of TapeOp.

I will see you at the TapeOp conference in Portland, OR - May 30th - June 1st.
