Happy Birthday!!

The Cut of the Month is ARCADE FIRE - "Keep the Car Running" which is the single from the Neon Bible CD. Do I really need to tell you anything about this band? I know this record came out ages ago, but really, you should have heard something about it. no? Listen Now.

UPCOMING DATES

July 7th - Wizard Prison (a group I'm in) is having a CD release party at the SS Marie Antoinette in Seattle, WA on July 7th, 2007 (777). The show is FREE and all ages are welcomed. Show starts promptly at 8pm!!

We have a short evening of entertainment planned for you.

As you enter the space, you will be greeted by the CD sounds of OMEI, a drone-based dark ambient project. Then FOREST of GREY will tickle your brain with their form of Black Metal. Then a selection of skating rink organ music will cleanse your aural palate for WIZARD PRISON. We are a multimedia project complete with prison, projected abstract films of our own making, esoteric software synths of our own modification and heavy guitars and drums designed to (magically) lure you into allowing our escape from the prison. See a preview at http://www.wizardprison.com. Afterwards, stick around for the wizards grand dance party. The show starts at 8pm and will be over by 10pm or so for those wishing to catch Sunn and Earth.

If for some reason you can't make this show, we will be playing on Sept 14th at Neumo's with ANIMAL COLLECTIVE and this lineup will continue down the west coast through the rest of Sept. All tour dates are at http://www.myspace.com/wizardprison.

July 19th - KUOW (94.9 NPR) will broadcast an interview around 2pm Pacific Time. The feature will focus on my career as a music producer. The show will also be archived, so you can stream it later if you don't live in Seattle. http://www.kuow.org/

FLASHES of QUINCEY came in the studio to record their first EP of fabulous music that hints at early Beatles especially in the vocal department. Double vocal harmonies that will shake your tree.

THE QUIT - started their next full length. This time out they have a real NEU influence. Should be exciting

Jaime Fennelly - stopped by to master a few items from MANPACK VARIANT and UNCLOUDY DAY. Jaime is best know as a member of PSI. He also did a piano improv and an organ improv that blew my mind!!

C'MON C'MON finished their full length full of songs in the Sweet, Beatles, Attractions, Squeeze, Jam vein. This group features members of MEDICINE HAT, DEGENERATE ART ENSEMBLE and DAVID RUSSELL's SIDESHOW SYMPHONETTE. Look for this record soon-ish. it's amazing.

Hope to see you soon. --
