Two Words: CAPTAIN BEEFHEART!! Yes, it's true, I am honored to be working on a new Captain Beefheart release and couldn't be more excited about it! More later...

I recently fired up my new 16 track 1" analogue machine for a Leatherboy CD recording. While a label has not yet surfaced for this particular work, all our love, care and sweat is going in to this project. I usually compare Leatherboy to Gibson Brothers, yet I also hear a bit of Tar Babies on this recording. A new keyboard player has been added to the fold, and the collective sound is shaping up beautifully.

John Vallier (drummer extrodinaire with Climax Golden Twins and Swell) has finished up his demo and is currently making the rounds. Let me know if you are interested in releasing this gem - you can't go wrong with it!

Brent Arnold completed the mix for his new as-yet-untitled single, which will be released on Up. This material is quite different from his forthcoming RGI full length release - let's say it's more single-friendly, or maybe it's more radio-friendly. Either way, it's good I think.

Climax Golden Twins have been working with a new group called Static Luxury Object, and have also co-produced a demo with SLO that will be making the rounds soon. Such busy boys! -- The Twins recently performed with long time Gravelvoice act Jabon at Speakeasy (which was Jabon's first performance in ten years). The show - which combined comedy, theater, film and music - was a smashing success... people actually showed up (grin)! Audience members were overheard stating "there should be more shows like
this one," which gladened the hearts of all involved.

Jabon has finished their improvisational seven inch for Chocolate Monk as part of their Cadenza Freedom series. No one knows when it will be available, not even me. Sadly, the master may have been confiscated by Scottish Customs, but that's a long story!

I have been researching and testing a buckwheat hull pillow design which is made of a hemp/cotton cloth cover, filled with buckwheat hulls, and packaged with what Climax Golden Twins has affectionately titled their "Nite Nite CD." Buckwheat hull pillows offer the ultimate in neck support and keep one's head cooler than standard pillows, which translates into deeper sleep. The CD aids those with minds that will not turn off (ie: ME!) to fall to sleep faster. You wake up refreshed and energized. The first of these pillows have just found their way to certain stores here in the Seattle area, but you can see me web page for more details.

As always, if you want to be removed from this list, simply return it to me. I won't even stick my tongue out in the direction of our message.
