CUT OF THE MONTH is a dub version of HECHICEROS' "Somas Chavos". This
Mexican Cumbia music reminds me of reggae so much that I felt compelled to
do a dub mix. The band didn't really understand what I was doing, but Hey!
it's reggae mon!

MACHETE was in to finish their album of Cuban quasi-traditional music.
Really nice sounding record that moves. Look out for this band. Cut of the
month forthwith. Machete was also in for a quick recording of background
music for a yoga video. Should be pretty interesting.

MUDHONEY was back again to record a Billy Childish cut for an upcoming
compilation. Remember last month they did the B-side to the European single

KEXP was kind enough to allow me to mix live broadcasts with Tift Merritt,
Ed Harcourt and Calvin Johnson.

worries for about 45 minutes

Siwa Records in Portland hired me to master an LP from IKURO TAKAHASHI.
Side long piece of insect music.

Temple of Be Saint in Osaka asked me to master a couple CD's for later
release. One is the second disc featuring a compilation put together by
Temple founder Hitomi. the first disc is a manipulation compilation by
Dylan Nyoukis. We also received a full length mix tape from Don Bolles.
Most entertaining.

Got a mysterious package from Canada that included 8-track tapes of RAPID
FIRE. This is Axl Rose's first group. Hmmm.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESSMEN mixed their EP for their punk rock west coast
tour. Watch out LA!.

VARICOCELE continued tracking of their album which is a mix of mid 80's SST
damage (Black Flag, Meat Puppets, Minutemen) with a healthy dose of AC/DC,
Led Zepplin, Who and Rolling Stones. This band will take over the world.

Brandon Fitzsimmons brought in GODS AMONG MEN for a tracking session.

Alan Bishop was in for a day with Tim Young doing overdubs on the
forthcoming mega-classic Alvarius B record. The B stands for Brian...guy!

jazz. This is a 10 piece ensemble.

ELIZABETH FALCONER dropped by to do a couple more storys for her next
installment of Japanese children's storys with koto accompaniment.

off to the UK.
