Hello again. Another month down and shitload of stuff going on.
You may have received the Gravelvoice catalog #2 in the mail, if
not you may see it on the the web page. In addition, the online
catalog has been updated to include links to show many of the
releases covers, song titles and some recording notes. This option
is not complete yet but is fuctional. Let me know what you
think.
As far as new releases go: Sun City Girls- Midnight Cowboys CD is
out, The Amarillo compilation titles "You gan't boar like an eabla
when you work with turkrys" is out with unreleased track by Sun
City Girls, Faxed Head, Charles Gocher, and Heavenly Ten Stems. The
Climax Golden Twins Imperial Household Orchestra will be out mid
September. Miss Murgatroid- Myoclyonic Melodies is out too and has
the best looking cover I've ever seen. As always, these releases
are available from Gravelvoice.
In the studio I'm working on Charles Gocher solo project titled
"Pint Sized Spartacus". I am also starting a new Tzadik CD with
Eyvind Kang and we just completed a Burt Bacharach (sp?) cover for
a Tzadik compilation. Ed Pias continues to record massive hand
percussion ensembles and the Climax Golden Twins will not
leave.
The biggest news is the installation of the TripleDAT digital
editing system by Cremeware. This makes taking over the music
industry that much easier. The first project scheduled on the
computer is the restoration of a Derek Bailey recording called
"Music and Dance" from 1980.
For those of you who were there, the Sun City Girls, Marc Olsen, Ed
Pias and Hyperlung Gravelvoice BlowOut was a success and many
people were hipped to these groups various musical wares. Thanks
for coming.
A correction from the last update is that the Blowhole recording
will not be on Actuel Ass Run.
