Cheers, mates!

Cut of the Month is THE UPSKIRTS, whose EP is now available. I describe
them as "The Presidents of the United States of America meet the Buzzcocks,
and they all partied with The Jam at The Rocky Horror Picture Show", and
I'm sure you will agree.

ELIZABETH FALCONER recorded another 2 new children's stories, Little Pink
Fish and Kintaro. This is part of her next award winning CD project, also
called Little Pink Fish, which will include an illustrated children's
book. Should be super sweet.

KEXP kept me busy the first half the month with the following in-studio
performances. As always, you can listen to most of these via KEXP's
website (www.kexp.org). As a bonus, if you pledge to the station you can
receive a compilation CD that features my mix of "Hey Girl" by the DELAYS

WORM IS GREEN - A Nordic band of low key electronics and sultry
vocals. I swear they sound like "Silence Teaches" or "Lyckantropen
Themes" by Ulver, but what do I know.

IQU - They were stressed, but this duo pulled off an inspiring set
complete with theramin solo.

FRENCH KICKS - Interesting song structures. Vocals remind me of
John Lennon

PALADINS - A veteran rockabilly band that's still bustin' a nut
with those smooth guitar solos.

The second half of September was spent on a 2 week tour with CLIMAX GOLDEN
TWINS and CERBERUS SHOAL. We hovered on the east coast and had a few
Spinal Tap moments, but in general it was a relaxing experience to play
every night. Tour Diary to come next month.

Now I'm off to NYC again to mix for KEXP at CMJ. Of course, I'll tell you
all about it.
