Finally! Cut of the Month is the ANIMAL COLLECTIVE - "Did you See the
Words". This is the first cut from the album Feels which was recorded
here in Seattle in March 2005. I'm so glad this is out, so you can
hear pop weirdness baked right in.
Because of this records release you will now see my name in print all
over creation. Check out the Stranger, Fader, XLR8TR, Magnet,
Pitchfork, the list goes on and on. Check out the 3 star review in
Rolling Stone!
Also, the Associated Press did a story on KEXP which has been picked
up by scads of local newspapers. In this online version you can see
the back of my
noggin!

I did a podcast for KEXP which features many of the current projects
I've been working on. I'll let you know when it's up and available.
They move pretty slow over there. Wait patiently.
RICHARD PANZER was in to record a few more original songs of his
Dylan-esque music
I did a tape transfer of a 1979 production called Francyl's Songs for Childen
ARKADE stopped by to record a new song called Evanston. It's to
entice the ladies...i mean, to entice the record execs!
Most of the month was spent sound designing the short film ICE CREAM
ANTS. This film is a story of a guy who is confused when he realizes
he might have shot himself! Not in the leg or something, but an
intruder in his own home! Very David Lynch inspired. See more at
http://www.crutchfilms.com.
Linas Phillips stopped by to give me a preview of his feature film
WALKING TO WERNER which I'll be sound designing in Nov. It's a story
of a guy that decides to walk from Seattle to Los Angeles to meet
Werner Herzog. The film tells the stories of the people he meets
along the way. More info is at http://linasfilms.com/
The rest of the month was spent hammering nails and hanging drywall
in the new studio space. It's getting there, but there is still much to do
