Cut of the month is a studio treat. It's an in between takes banter
from Nathan Levine and Tom Swafford as VOLUTE. I call this "piece"
"Elephants" because that's what they were talking about. I really
loved this banter while we were recording these improvs and decided
to share it with you this month. Please to be enjoying.
October started with the final mixing of the IN CAVES project. Last
month I said this group was like Pearl Jam with a much better sense
of humour. The other difference is that their songs are still stuck
in my head a month later...more later.
I also finished the BUH BLAM project which reminds me so much of
Bowie it's not even funny.
Mixing commenced and finished for the TOM BAKER QUARTET record. This
collection of jazz compositions is amazing. Hopefully I can feature
these later.
I mixed the RICHARD PANZER collection of original compositions which
I hope to feature soon too. One song is ripe for a vocal by Nick
Cave. Anyone got his number?
I also did a transfer of some home recorded 78's of MUSSIE CHARLIE
REYNOLDS which was a Native American woman singing in a Shaker
church. Very nice and very rare.
The HOUSE ON A HILL record finished with a mastering session on
Halloween. You will be hearing from this group soon, which reminds me
of Meat Puppets and Minutemen.
